Penweb Services Co. designs web sites for business. We specialize in fast-loading, easily navigated informational and sales sites, with graphics that make the page interesting without drawing attention from the product or making the visitor wait. Whether the focus is to gather sales leads or sell products online, our design will be an effective, profitable extension of your office. We know how to reach your customer.

Before opening a site to the public, we test it on 2 versions of Windows using 8 browser versions at 3 screen resolutions to make sure it's usable by the largest audience possible. We minimize the use of frames and use other means to ensure accessibility for persons with disabilities.

Application Development

Penweb specializes in custom applications that are portable between systems and designed specifically to meet the needs of your business. This can be an online database to display your products or a complete web site run by a database. Using our Self Control™ interface, you can maintain the database yourself, making changes whenever you want from wherever you are.

Site Promotion

Penweb uses all the normal means to include search engine ranking in the design of your site, primarily the front page. Included in the price of every new application or remodeled web site is submission to the major search engines up to 3 times, at approximately 3 week intervals, as needed.

Some of the search engines now only accept new sites if you pay a fee. If you want to be added to Yahoo! you'll just be charged for time and expenses to optimize your listing and get it accepted. But if you want to really stay at the top of the rankings you should consider Penweb's Managed Promotion Account.

The Managed Promotion Acct. is for those of you who want the maximum bang for the least bucks without spending the time necessary to learn how to do it properly yourselves. Whether you're already listed in Yahoo! and Google or not this is a way to use paid placement to get your site on the top of the first page of results in all of the biggest search engines around. It's only the top few bids for a given search term that will get your site there.

For $25/month, in addition to the monthly charges from Overture, Penweb will make sure your site is ranked in the top 3 for as many of your chosen search terms as possible. Weekly I'll check your rankings at Overture and see how close to your target monthly cost limit (minimum $20) your site is, then adjust your bid on search terms up or down for maximum effectiveness at minimum cost. Or for $50/month I can perform daily checks.
